In The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, Peter -a mischievious rabbit by nature- sneaks into Mr. McGregor's garden to get to his vegetables and, upon being discovered by the farmer, runs all the way back to his home under the root of a fir tree. The clock is decorated with a combination of cheerful cartoon imagery of Mr. McGregor and his garden, plus a figure of Peter. This functioning clock would be an excellent accessory for a nursery or young child's bedroom.
