A bright and characterful figurine from Border Fine Arts, illustrating the classic children's book character Mr. Jeremy Fisher from the Beatrix Potter stories. Mr. Jeremy Fisher -an extravagently-dressed frog- puts on his goloshes and macintosh, and goes fishing on the lake outside his house in preparation for a dinner with his friends, including Sir Isaac Newton (a newt). Unfortunately, he is not a very good angler and returns home empty-handed. The figure shows him sitting on a picnic basket on his lily-boat, paddling the water with a twig. It is faithful to the story illustrations and gives children a wondereful introduction to some of the most beloved children's literature in history.
