This is the beautifully detailed figurine of Jemima Puddle-duck from the children's literature by Beatrix Potter. In The Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck, Jemima is given shelter to lay her eggs by a gentleman fox, who asks her to a celebratory dinner and tells her to bring her own herbs and vegetables from the farm kitchen. Not realising the gentleman's true nature and that the seasonings he asked for are all perfect accompaniments for roast duck, Jemima sets out to collect the herbs in her little bag. This charming figurine illustrates the story wonderfully and makes an excellent collector's item, however it would also work on its own as a single ornament, possibly in a child's nursery.
